I've heard about the lunch combo at 10D for quite sometime, so yesterday four of us (one person who came only to watch as he had his lunch already) landed there to get a taste of what was cooking! The ambiance was great as is usual to 10D and we settled on comfortable sofas well inside the restobar!
I was aware of the price before we went here, Rs 150 for veg and Rs 200 for non veg - which includes a soup/beer/soft drink, a main course and dessert of the day, but I was not aware of the humongous choice on offer! I cannot even list the number of choices for the main course, with a choice of Indian, Chinese and Continental and each of them having at least ten or twelve choices within them. Soup of the day also had choices between cream of tomato and cream of mushroom and both were decent! The friend ordered a Chinese fried rice combo, which itself had rice and gravy to it, his wife ordered a spicy Indian veg rice combo which also had rice and gravy to it, while yours truly, settled for a portion of Shepherd's pie which was served with a toast!
Both the rice combos were brilliant to say the least! The gravy that comes with the combo have a decent portion of chicken in it and not a 'nam ke vas' stuff! The shepherd's pie was well........a very bad variant of the pie, but I guess it is my fault to order that here - should have stuck to the more 'traditional' stuff. Dessert was a choice of ice cream and nothing much to talk about. If you stay off the exotic stuff, the lunch combo is deal and value for money!
Service is quick and attentive and we had no complaints! Ambiance is chic!
I will certainly go back here when I have company and don't want to burn a hole in the pocket!
Food 8/10
Service 8/10
Ambiance 8/10
Price 9/10
