As I was driving via a small road in Kilpauk, I noticed a board that read 'All day continental breakfast' and needless to say, being a sucker for continental breakfast, I stopped by to have a look at the place and realized that it was Parfait 3, a joint I had spotted in Velachery, but did not have a chance to visit. So when Sunday arrived, I dragged the wife along for breakfast (and let's not discuss what time we had our breakfast) here.
The ambiance is chilled out with a few tables on the outside and a few inside ( I did not like the interiors, it was a turn off), but the outside is very nice and has games that you can take and play, we settled with Chinese Checkers! Just two dishes were really breakfast, a banana pancake and french toast. The banana pancake was the closest I have had next to IHOP, in USA - that is the best compliment I can give a pancake, and it was priced at Rs 85 for two very nice sized pancakes, with a generous dose of (and feel free to ask for more) maple syrup. The french toast was decent, but that is because that's the way the dish is made! We also had a croissant, a cinnamon roll and shared a crumb fried chicken, the cinnamon roll was very good, the crumb fried chicken was decent, and the croissant was not fresh, so it was not good! We were given a complimentary mango cake, which we came home to eat and it was a super soft, juicy and tasty cake! I just simply loved the place for most of the dishes and the ones that were not great, were forgivable as the others more than made up for it!
Service is amazing to say the least. Its a small place but the waiters were very nice and friendly and knew the menu very well and were able to guide us in our choice of food. The above meal cost us Rs 505 and we were kind of stuffed, so it is good value for money. I was told that they also have an outlet in Anna Nagar, and I am not sure if the other outlets have the same kind of service, but the Kilpauk one certainly was amazing.
We went back on Wednesday night for the pancake, so...................
